If rock and roll is the soundtrack to your life, chances are Janet Macoska has been providing the visuals. Her first published photo was an image of Sonny and Cher that she shot at the age of 12. It appeared in Teen Screen Magazine. Since 1974, she's supplied photography for publications around the world, for record, TV and film companies and for the artists themselves. David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Kinks, Devo and The Clash are amongst the artists who've used her work on their cds.
Her photos are in the permanent collections of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, The National Portrait Gallery in London, The Akron Art Museum and in Hard Rock Cafe's all over the planet.

Janet Macoska's 35 years in photography has produced an archive unrivalled with her images often utilized by TV networks such as VH1, Bravo and A&E for their programming, and for editorial use in countless book and magazine publishers' projects. Exhibitions of her rock and roll photography are being toured by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and ArtVision Exhibitions.
Besides continuing to shoot on assignment, she's excited about some new applications for her photography. She's created pop art morphs of her own iconic rock images, which have been used for decorative interior art in Hard Rock Cafe restaurants, hotels and casinos, Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena and the new Creative Arts Building at Cuyahoga Community College. Mixing music and photography NEVER gets boring!
