Rock Exhibition: Free Lecture-Wednesday, February 16th 7:30-9pm. "Janet Macoska: From Tri-C to the Rock Hall (and back again)" Geeks & Gurus Visual Communication and Design Lecture Series starts out 2005 rockin' with photographer Janet Macoska who has been capturing classic rock and roll moments on film for over 25 years. Her memorable images can be found on recordings by David Bowie, led Zeppelin and the Kinks, and have been published by Rolling Stone, People, Entertainment Weekly, Circus, Creem, The New York Times, The London Times, and American Photo. Macoska's photographs are in the permanent collections of The National Portrait Gallery in London, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, and in Hard Rock Cafe's all around the world. Janet's professional career began 30 years ago as a student in Tri-C's B&W Photography 1. She now teaches that same course at the Metro Campus. |
